125A Mobile 3 Phase Distro Box

This 125A distro box is a portable three-phase power distribution equipment designed for temporary outdoor & indoor event power supply. It adopts IEC 60309 industrial connector standard, built inside wheeled flight case structure for frequent relocation.

Mechanical Structure

The enclosure is a heavy-duty plastic flight case equipped with 4 casters: 2 braked swivel wheels + 2 directional wheels. Interior fitted with CNC-cut flame-retardant EVA foam for socket positioning and vibration damping.

  • Input: 1 pcs 125A 5P male industrial plug (3L+N+PE)
  • Primary outputs: 2 pcs 63A 5P female sockets, 2 pcs 32A 5P female sockets
  • Secondary outputs: 12 pcs 16A 3P single-phase female sockets (L+N+PE)

Built-in main isolator switch and branch MCB protection for each circuit

Recessed socket layout reduces physical impact on connected plugs; side mounting panel reserved for equipment ID marking.

Electrical Working Principle

  • The unit operates on a 5-wire 3-phase power system (L1/L2/L3 + Neutral + Protective Earth).
  • 3-phase mains power feeds into the unit via the 125A 5-pin input plug to the main busbar.
  • Power passes through the main isolator for global power cut-off.
  • Main busbar splits into two 63A 3-phase circuits and two 32A 3-phase circuits.
  • Three-phase lines are phase-balanced to derive 12 single-phase 16A circuits, evenly distributed across L1, L2, L3 phases to avoid phase imbalance.
  • Every independent circuit is protected by miniature circuit breakers against overload and short circuit.

Standard Application Workflow

Verify all circuit breakers are switched OFF; inspect cable insulation and connector integrity.

Positioning
Move distro box to designated power zone, lock braked casters to prevent shifting.

Connect site generator or mains 125A feeder cable to the 125A input plug.

Power energization
Switch ON main isolator; test phase voltage with multimeter to confirm balanced 3-phase supply.
Step 5
Load connection

1: What is the maximum continuous loading capacity of this 125A distro box?
Rated continuous input current is 125A @ 400V 3-phase. Total combined load of all output sockets cannot exceed 125A. Phase balance is mandatory; single-phase unbalance current should not exceed 25A to avoid neutral overheating. Peak inrush current from lighting loads can be tolerated within 180A for ≤5 seconds.

 

2: Does this distro box come with built-in circuit protection for every outlet?
Yes. It is equipped with a main isolator switch for full unit power cut-off. All 63A, 32A three-phase circuits and 16A single-phase branches are protected by independent thermomagnetic MCBs compliant with IEC 60898. Short-circuit and overload protection are available for each individual circuit. Residual current devices (RCD/GFCI) can be configured as an optional upgrade.

 

3: What standard do the industrial plugs and sockets comply with?
All connectors follow IEC 60309-1 / IEC 60309-2 international standard. The 5-pin configuration is 3P+N+PE, rated IP44 when fully mated. Compatible with all standard European event generator cables and touring power cables.
