63A Portable Power Distribution Box
This 63A portable power distribution box is compact temporary power distribution equipment built to IEC 60309 industrial connector standard. It adopts a sealed thermoplastic enclosure with integrated carry handle, designed for frequent relocation at construction sites, outdoor events, workshops and equipment rental fleets.
Mechanical Structure
- Enclosure: Injection moulded impact-resistant modified PP plastic, integrated top carry handle, support feet for stable ground placement. Hinged removable top cover for internal wiring inspection.
- Input port: 1 × 63A 5P male industrial plug (3L+N+PE) mounted on the right side
- Output sockets:
• 3 pcs 32A 5P female sockets (3-phase 380–415V, red IEC60309)
• 1 pc 16A 3P female socket (single-phase 230V, blue IEC60309) - Socket mounting: Flush external mounting; each outlet equipped with sealing cap for idle port protection.
- Cable entry: Left side reserved cable pass-through for optional fixed cable installation.
Electrical Working Principle
- The unit runs on a 5-wire three-phase power system (L1/L2/L3 + Neutral + Protective Earth).
- 3-phase AC power enters the unit via the 63A 5-pin input plug to the main busbar.
- Main busbar branches into three independent 32A three-phase output circuits.
- One single-phase branch is tapped from L1, N and PE to supply the 16A 230V socket.
- Optional internal installation of MCB / RCD for overload, short-circuit and earth leakage protection (configurable).
- All circuits share a common PE protective earth busbar to guarantee equipment grounding continuity.

Standard Application Workflow
Step 1
Pre-operation check
Confirm all sockets are undamaged; verify internal protective devices (if fitted) are in working condition.
Step 2
Placement
Rest unit horizontally on flat ground, avoid tilting.
Step 3
Input connection
Connect site generator or mains feeder cable to the 63A 5P input plug.
Step 4
Power verification
Measure phase voltage to confirm balanced 3-phase supply before connecting loads.
Step 5
Load connection
Connect three-phase machinery to 32A red outlets; single-phase equipment to the blue 16A outlet. Distribute loads evenly across L1/L2/L3 to reduce phase imbalance.
Step 6
Shutdown procedure
Disconnect all load equipment → isolate input power → unplug incoming cable.

1: Is this a three-phase power distribution box?
A: Yes. It uses a 63A 5P (3P+N+PE) red IEC60309 input plug for three-phase five-wire 380–415V power supply. The 3 red outlets are 32A three-phase sockets; the blue outlet provides 230V single-phase power tapped from the three-phase supply.
2: Does this box come with built-in circuit breakers or RCD?
A: Standard version is supplied without internal protection devices. We support custom assembly with MCBs and 30mA / 100mA residual current devices (RCD/GFCI) for each circuit.
3: What IP rating do the sockets have?
A: Plugs and sockets achieve IP44 protection when fully connected and locked. The enclosure itself is splash resistant, not waterproof for long-term outdoor exposure under heavy rainfall.
4: Can this unit be hardwired instead of using the input plug?
A: Yes. The left side of the enclosure can be modified for cable gland entry, removing the input plug for permanent cable wiring on request.
5: What is the maximum load for each output socket?
A: Each red 32A 5P socket supports max 32A three-phase load. The blue 16A socket supports maximum 16A single-phase load. Total combined load of all outputs cannot exceed 63A overall input rating.
6: Can I use this power box for generator connection?
A: Fully compatible with standard 400V generators fitted with IEC60309 63A 5P output sockets. Confirm generator phase sequence before connecting sensitive equipment.
7: Are custom socket layouts supported?
A: Custom configurations available: adjust socket quantity, add voltmeters, change protection setups. MOQ applies for non-standard layouts.
8: What certifications are available?
